The implant feature is the presence of a hole for the spermatic cord, made of non-shrinking REPEREN material. The mesh perimeter is edged with hydrophobic acrylic to prevent the mesh from unraveling when fixed.

"Reperen" is a cross-linked polymer, which is synthesized from methacrylic oligomers.
